Heart Pine
Premium Clear is our premium grade, elegant and formal it makes a dramatic statement setting off any room with a rich golden glow. All heart and 97%+ dense grain. No shake or surface checks. Ninety percent knot free with allowable knots 1" in diameter in boards 4" and under and 1 1/2" in boards over 6". Premium Clear is offered in two grain orientations: predominantly flat sawn or predominantly vertical.

Premium Select, our most popular grade is warm and versatile, capable of complimenting a wide range of design styles. 95% heartwood and 90%+ dense grain. No shake or through splits. Infrequent nail holes. Premium Select is offered in two grain orientations: predominantly flat sawn or predominantly vertical.

Heart Pine ~ Select Flat Sawn
Character Select, a more casual appearance with some character marks present from the wood's previous life. Mixed grain density allowed with some rift sawn and flat sawn grain patterns included. Sound knots to 3" in diameter in boards over 6" wide and up to 15% naily boards.

Character Select Naily is a character Select grade with a specific emphasis on the pattern like design created by the stains of old nail holes. Contains a majority of Pioneer naily boards.
Heart Pine ~ Character Select Naily
Cottage Rustic is informal and interesting, its unique character is derived from mixed grain density and patterns as will as piebald coloring from the wood's history. Mixed heart and sapwood allowed. Distress marks are present with limited surface checks. No restriction on sound knots, nail holes and occasional bolt holes to 1/2" diameter allowed.
